With installation of a solar power plant on the roof of the ORO Orodjarna building is another achieved goal of the company's sustainable development. The solar power plant is designed for parallel operation with the public electricity grid.
With the investment in our own solar power plant, we pursue the following goals:
- reduction of CO2 emissions for 44.47t emissions CO2 per year,
- increase in energy efficiency,
- increasing responsibility towards society and the environment,
- reducing the company's energy dependence,
- increasing the company's competitiveness and ensuring its growth,
- fulfilling the development policies and strategies of Slovenia and the European Union.
The investment was co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Slovenia in the amount of 30.501,90€ (www.noo.gov.si | www.euskladi.si).
The solar power plant with a power of 154.70 kWp was installed and successfully commissioned in May 2023.
